A celebration of community, cult cinema, and abiding vibes.

The Festival Abides Community Update

To everyone who has supported The Festival Abides,

Thank you for all of your excitement, encouragement, and questions about tickets. It truly means a lot to see so many people interested in what we’re building.

After a great deal of consideration, I’ve made the decision to postpone The Festival Abides until 2027.

As a first-year independent festival, I realized that the event deserves more time to secure sponsorships, partnerships, and funding so I can create the experience I’ve envisioned from the beginning rather than rushing something that falls short of that vision.

The good news is that The Festival Abides is absolutely still happening. This isn’t the end—it’s simply giving the festival the time it needs to grow into something special.

In the meantime, we’re excited to begin hosting The Festival Abides League Nights—casual community bowling events where everyone can get together, meet fellow achievers, enjoy trivia, costumes, prizes, and have a great time while helping support the festival’s journey.

These events will be a fun way to build the community long before opening weekend, and every League Night helps bring The Festival Abides one step closer.

If you’ve been waiting to attend the festival, I hope you’ll join us at a League Night and be part of building something from the ground up.

I’ll be announcing dates and details soon.

Thank you again for believing in this project and for helping keep The Festival Abides rolling.

The Dude Abides… and so does the festival!!

The Festival Abides™ is a laid-back, over-the-line celebration of cult cinema, community, and good times. Inspired by The Big Lebowski and the man who passed that love down to me: my Dad. This event combines film, art, music, costumes, and bowling into a day of fun and absurdity where fans can gather, laugh, and abide together. It’s about honoring the things that make life strange and beautiful.

What’s Going Down

A Note From The Festival

After thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided to move the inaugural Festival Abides to August 2027.

Our goal has always been to build something lasting: a true community celebration centered around cinema, creativity, local culture, and abiding together. By taking additional time to grow our audience, partnerships, fundraiser events, and overall festival experience, we believe we can create a stronger and more meaningful event for everyone involved.

In the meantime, The Festival Abides will continue through upcoming League Nights, Urban Achievers Social Club brewery events, community fundraisers, and other special gatherings leading up to the festival.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported the project so far, and we’re excited to continue building this together.

Stay tuned. The Dude abides.
